CMS

Akretion has an extensive knowledge of website conception using CMS or web development frameworks. This website has been built by Akretion on the top of the Radiant CMS. We also used that technology for the http://www.openerpbrasil.org website though this time the design has been kindly contributed by our DMD2 partner. The Radiant CMS leverages the Ruby on Rails technology. Those particular websites are hosted on the Heroku cloud.

We also master the following open source J2EE CMS: * Jahia; reference done by Akretion founder: http://groupe.nouvelles-frontieres.fr/ * Infoglue; reference Akretion founder participated: http://www.regioncentre.fr/

Portals

We master: * Google Open Social technology, potentially using the Apache Shinding implementation – Javascript/J2EE based * Liferay – J2EE based

JRuby on Rails

enjoy the Ruby on Rails productivity running at Java performance and interacting seamlessly with your favorite Java frameworks!

Akretion founder has been a JRuby early adopter back in 2006, immediately identifying the potential of this technology. Since then we have been tireless beta-testers and evangelists of the technology until it finally reaches its recognized maturity.

J2EE web development tend to be overkill in 90% of the case due to Java unnecessary verbosity and its less powerful yet bloated web frameworks. In those cases, it’s better replaced by Rails development which can boost productivity by more than 2 or 3.

JRuby allows you to easily drop that Rails productivity right into your existing J2EE environment, reusing your Java framework while enjoying the fastest available Rails performance.

Good examples of Akretion mastering of JRuby are the OOOR and TerminatOOOR projects.
